UAF General Staff: 238 clashes and 1,950 Russian troops lost in 24 hours

General assessment of the situation on the front line

The 1,697th day of the Russian Federation's large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. A total of 238 combat clashes occurred over the past 24 hours. The data was provided by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Enemy air and artillery strikes

According to updated information, the enemy carried out 71 air strikes over the past day, dropping 261 guided aerial bombs. To strike targets, the adversary deployed 7,433 suicide drones and conducted 2,699 shelling incidents against populated areas and Ukrainian military positions.

In Sumy Oblast, Ulanove, Fotovysh, Sadky, Mala Korchakivka, Rudenok, Tovstodubove, Volfine, Neskyuchne and Khrapivshchyna came under artillery fire. An air strike was also recorded in the area of Buvalyne.

Defence Forces actions and strikes on enemy targets

Aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defence Forces struck one area of enemy personnel concentration and one drone control point.

Combat operations in the Northern and Southern Slobidanskyi directions

In the Northern Slobidanskyi direction, 12 combat clashes took place in the areas of Novodmytrivka, Tovstodubove, Mala Slobidka, Bunychyne, Doroshivka, Neskyuchne, Shpyl, Hrafiske, Sadky and Mohrytsia.

In the Southern Slobidanskyi direction, 25 combat clashes were recorded near Starytsia, Mala Vovcha, Chuhunivka and Radkivka.

Situation in the Kupiansk and Lyman directions

In the Kupiansk direction, the Defence Forces repelled one attempt by the invaders to advance in the area of Kupiansk.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian units prevented the enemy's advance in the areas of Lyman, Zarychne and Dibrova, halting five attacks.

Defensive actions in the Sloviansk, Kramatorsk and Kostiantynivka directions

In the Sloviansk direction, six enemy attacks were repelled in the areas of Ozerne, Pyskunivka, Kryva Luka and Mykolaivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, defenders successfully repelled one enemy assault in the area of Dibrova.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, 18 combat clashes were recorded in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Dovha Balka, Druzhkivka, Novosilivka, Oleksiivka-Druzhkivka, Mykolaipillia and Novopavlivka.

Intense fighting in the Pokrovsk and Oleksandrivka directions

In the Pokrovsk direction, a total of 30 attacks were repelled. The invaders attempted to advance in the areas of Toretske, Hruske, Vylne, Kucheriv Yar, Svitlye, Dobropillia, Serhiivka, Molodetske, Novopavlivka and Mariivka.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, two enemy attacks were repelled in the areas of Zaporizhke and Komishuvakha.

Combat operations in the Hulyaipil and Orikhiv directions

In the Hulyaipil direction, 13 enemy attacks occurred over the past day in the areas of Vozdvyzhivka, Rivne, Andriivka, Kopani, Charyvne and Yehorivka.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Defence Forces repelled seven attempts by the invaders to move forward in the areas of Novoyakivka, Mala Tokmachka, Pavlivka, Stepnohirsk and Plavni.

In the Dnipro direction, the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations.

Losses of Russian troops

Overall, Russian invaders lost 1,950 personnel over the past day. Additionally, one tank, two armoured fighting vehicles, 24 artillery systems, four multiple launch rocket systems, two air defence assets, four ground robotic complexes, 1,396 unmanned aerial vehicles, 329 units of automotive and two units of special enemy equipment were destroyed.
