Zelensky announces increased orders for turrets to counter Shaheds

Expansion of production capacities

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the country is increasing the production of turrets that have demonstrated high effectiveness in countering Shahed drones. These steps were taken following consultations with the military leadership.

“Together with the Minister of Defence, the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU, and the Commander of the Air Force, we identified additional capacities for producing turrets that have performed very well against 'Shaheds'. We are increasing orders, and it is important to accelerate all processes as much as possible: organisational, financial, and production,” the Head of State emphasised after holding a video conference.

International coordination of logistics

In addition to domestic production tasks, Zelensky mentioned the need for contacts with the Baltic states. According to him, there is an instruction regarding cooperation in the context of supporting logistics chains. The President added that he expects a corresponding report from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on this matter.
