Six-month plan for post-war election campaign
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky outlined the time required to organise elections after the end of hostilities. In a conversation with journalists from the NBC News channel, the head of state noted that the country would need six months for full preparation for voting.
According to Zelensky, during this period, it is necessary to adopt the required legislative changes and prepare the infrastructure for conducting the vote.
Scenario with a full ceasefire
In addition to the basic scenario, the president reminded of the possibility of accelerating the process. He reiterated his previous position: if Russia agrees to a full ceasefire, Ukraine is capable of preparing for elections within 60 days.
At the same time, Zelensky did not specify whether the elections themselves would take place in such a case.
