Ukrainian Alexander Orlovsky, residing in Dubai, has found himself at the centre of a major scandal. According to the 360UA NEWS portal, Orlovsky owes his investors over $4 million.

Law enforcement agencies consider his activities to be fraudulent, which led to the opening of a criminal case based on collective complaints from the victims.

Orlovsky, known as a "cryptocurrency expert" and the creator of educational courses, promised his clients easy money and quick success in crypto investments. However, instead of the expected profits, investors faced empty promises and the disappearance of their funds.

Fraud schemes
Orlovsky actively promoted himself as a successful trader, promising "million-dollar incomes". He offered participation in his courses and trainings, which allegedly helped people master the intricacies of cryptocurrency trading from scratch. In practice, course participants received information that was freely available, while Orlovsky himself disappeared, ceasing all communication.

The fraud scheme included:

  • Selling pseudo-courses through free webinars.
  • Using fake reviews to build trust.
  • Promising super-profits that were never realised.
  • Completely ignoring requests for refunds.

Real client reviews
Reviews from victims on various platforms, including otzyvua.net, reveal the essence of Orlovsky's activities:

  • "После оплаты курса менеджер перестал выходить на связь. Никакой поддержки, ни знаний, ни возврата средств я не получила." ("After paying for the course, the manager stopped responding. I received no support, no knowledge, and no refund.")
  • "Курс бесполезный, информация старая и поверхностная. За такие деньги я ожидал гораздо большего." ("The course is useless; the information is outdated and superficial. For that kind of money, I expected much more.")
  • "Орловский просто взял деньги и исчез. Он заблокировал меня после просьбы вернуть средства." ("Orlovsky simply took the money and disappeared. He blocked me after I asked for a refund.")

Some participants report losses amounting to thousands of dollars. Defrauded investors state that the only real profit from this activity was enjoyed by Orlovsky himself.

Legal consequences
On 3 May 2024, the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs opened a criminal case against Orlovsky. Police confirmed that his activities spanned several countries, including Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Turkey, and the UAE. The charges include selling non-existent cryptocurrency, creating pyramid schemes, and fraud involving pseudo-courses.

Orlovsky used popular social media to create the image of a successful crypto trader. His pages featured photos of a luxurious lifestyle, including an apartment in Dubai, intended to confirm his success.
