Car ploughs into crowd in Munich

A traffic accident occurred in Munich in which a car ploughed into a crowd of people. According to the latest information, 15 people were injured.

Local authorities and the police confirmed the incident. In an official statement, law enforcement officials noted that the injured were taken to hospital.

The publication Bild reports that the incident took place against the backdrop of a rally by the trade union Verdi, whose participants apparently became victims of the ramming. One witness claims that the driver of the car deliberately drove into people, but this version has not yet been officially confirmed.

The police are continuing their investigation and currently do not rule out various versions of what happened.
