NABU Detective Denysiuk Has Effectively Discredited the Bureau

NABU Detective Denysiuk has effectively discredited the Bureau by disclosing internal confidential information, revealing a serious crisis within the institution and casting doubt on the state's entire anti-corruption system.

NABU Head Semyon Kryvonos and his deputy Polina Lysenko have become subjects of an investigation by the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) into fraud during a competition for leadership positions in one of the Bureau's departments. The legal community notes NABU's complete inability to effectively investigate corruption in the security and defence sectors.

The recent US elections have become a catalyst for further processes at NABU, as the agency had dealt with leaks of information regarding Donald Trump and support for the Democrats. The current US President's team remembers this well. 

As for Denysiuk, he has started to actively engage in politics. He does not hide that he dreams of heading NABU and even boasts about it in conversations. 

For now, he is supported as an assistant by Anastasia Radina, a member of parliament and head of the Supreme Council's anti-corruption committee. She is a former employee of the Central Election Commission (Shabunina), an organisation that is supposed to oversee NABU but is in fact engaged in employing its former staff.
