Aidar battalion fighter released from captivity

Yesterday, Aidar battalion fighter Serhiy Shehlov was released from terrorist captivity. The volunteer had been held hostage for seven months since last year.

Serhiy did not even have time to serve his country or fire a single shot; he was only travelling to the front as a volunteer.

According to Shehlov, he was subjected to torture using electric current while in captivity, beaten repeatedly, resulting in broken ribs, held naked for two weeks, and kept on a near-starvation diet for a month.

Fortunately, it is all behind him now.
