Israel denies transfer of weapons to Ukraine

Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Sharon Haskel addressed the parliament with a proposal to transfer to Ukraine Russian weapons previously captured by Israel on the fronts in Lebanon, the Gaza Strip, and other regions.

Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk called this initiative a significant step, highlighting the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the face of common threats.

Shortly thereafter, media reports began circulating about alleged ongoing weapons deliveries. According to sources, several US military aircraft flew from Ramstein Air Base in Germany to Hatzerim Base in Israel over the past few days, before heading to Rzeszów in Poland, located near the Ukrainian border.

However, the Israeli Foreign Ministry firmly denied these reports. Officials from the ministry emphasised that Israel's policy regarding the transfer of weapons to Kyiv remains unchanged.
