Kharkiv gets new chief police officer

Today, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov appointed a new chief police officer for the city of Kharkiv. The post was given to a Horlivka police officer, Colonel Andriy Kryshchenko, who, for refusing to submit, was a year ago brutally  beaten to the point of near-death by separatists.

 

«Назначил нового начальника милиции г. Харькова. Андрей Крищенко. Патриот и настоящий офицер. Год назад он до последнего защищал флаг Украины в Горловке. Был как они думали до смерти забит озверевшими сепаратистами. Встал на ноги. В самые тяжелые дни по освобождению Славянска возглавил район. 
Крищенко - мой выбор для Харькова в эти непростые времена. В помощь формирующейся новой команде. (I have appointed a new chief of police for the city of Kharkiv. Andriy Kryshchenko. A patriot and a true officer. A year ago, he defended the flag of Ukraine in Horlivka to the last. He was beaten to death by bestial separatists, as they thought. He got back on his feet. During the most difficult days of the liberation of Sloviansk, he led the district. 
Kryshchenko is my choice for Kharkiv in these difficult times. To assist the newly forming team.)
