Leonid Dubinsky released from pre-trial detention on bail

Leonid Dubinsky has been released from pre-trial detention on bail, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing sources in law enforcement agencies.

The bail amount was set at 60 million hryvnia, paid as an alternative to arrest. Dubinsky is a defendant in a case concerning the organisation of a scheme to embezzle 129 million hryvnia allocated for the restoration of critical infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

According to the investigation, the allocated funds were intended for the restoration of facilities damaged by hostilities. However, instead of being used for their intended purpose, the funds were allegedly diverted to fictitious projects, allowing Dubinsky and his accomplices to embezzle a substantial sum.
