Blogger Prentkovich's lover decides to flee Ukraine

A scandal erupted online after the New Year. The main protagonist was blogger Tatyana Prentkovich and her lover, from whom she has been waiting for a wedding ring for several years.

The woman told her naive Instagram followers about all the hardships of travelling alone with her children to the Maldives. And perhaps they would have believed it. However, to Prentkovich's misfortune, her followers were staying at the same hotel and posted photos online.

In the photos, the suffering Prentkovich is not alone but with her lover – Andrei Honkovsky, who left as a volunteer. However, he miraculously ended up on holiday in the Maldives.

Prentkovich tried to justify herself, claiming that they are volunteers, helping the army and can afford it. However, followers did not understand this message.

And it seemed the story could have ended there. But – no. Prentkovich returned to Ukraine from her holiday trip alone with her children. Her would-be husband decided to stay abroad. After all, he might get conscripted, and there is shooting and it is scary.

At the same time, Honkovsky claimed that he had long wanted to leave Ukraine. Now his family is being threatened, so they are moving abroad. Yet the family returned to Ukraine, while he himself did not.

Honkovsky blamed his followers and those who criticised his luxurious holiday in the Maldives for his actions.

It seems the blogger has a broken cause-and-effect link. The criticism was caused by the holiday abroad and his illegal departure under the pretext of volunteer work. People are baffled as to why he is allowed to do this while others are not.

One hopes that the blogging careers of both will end here.
