Bank staff in Lviv region embezzled clients' money

A group of bank employees in the Lviv region organised a scheme to embezzle funds belonging to clients of Oschadbank, which was uncovered during a joint operation by the police and the SBU.

On the instructions of their supervisor, bank staff altered clients' financial details and reissued cards, gaining access to 50 bank accounts.

As a result of their actions, account holders suffered losses, with the total damage exceeding 5 million hryvnia. The participants in the scheme face up to six years in prison.
