Translator reveals Yushchenko's embarrassment

The personal translator of fugitive President Viktor Yanukovych recounted one of the many blunders committed by the former head of state, which had not previously been reported in the media.

“Before visiting Washington to meet with President Barack Obama, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych received several lessons in the basics of the English language. He was given the following instructions.
1) When you approach Obama, the first thing you must say is ‘How are you?’ (How are you?). 
2) Obama will reply ‘I am fine, and you?’ (I am fine, and you?). 
3) And now you need to say ‘Me too’ (Me too).
That’s it. After that, we translators will do all the work.
Here is what happened – and it has been written into the annals, so to speak.
Yanukovych extends his hand and quite fluently says ‘Who are you?’ (Who are you?). By the way,  ‘Who’ and ‘How’ are often confused even in my lessons…
Mr Obama is slightly shocked, but composes himself and replies with his signature Harvard humour: “I'm Michelle's husband!” (I am Michelle's husband!).
Well, here Yanukovych performed exactly as he was taught: “Me too!” (Me too!)”,
