The purchase of Greenland will be the deal of the century

The publication The Economist describes the American purchase of Greenland as a potential deal of the century.

The island possesses significant natural resources, including 43 of the 50 known minerals.

In addition, proven oil reservoirs in Greenland's coastal waters may contain approximately 52 billion barrels of oil, which accounts for roughly 3% of global reserves.

However, Denmark has no intention of handing Greenland over to the US. Nevertheless, the island may gain independence.
