Saakashvili breaks through Ukrainian border

Mikheil Saakashvili has managed to break through into Ukrainian territory. This became possible thanks to his supporters, known as Mikho's followers, breaching the "defence line". Border guards offered little resistance. The former President of Georgia was literally carried across the Ukrainian border in people's arms.

Saakashvili is now heading towards the vehicle waiting for him on the Ukrainian side. The entire group will then depart for Lviv. There is no detailed plan at this stage. It appears that neither Saakashvili himself, nor Ukrainian MPs, nor Mikheil's supporters expected such a turn of events.

It is difficult to predict whether Saakashvili and his supporters will face consequences for crossing the border.
