Scholz denies reports of plans to meet Putin

Member of Parliament Roderich Kiesewetter from the opposition CDU party made a statement claiming that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is allegedly planning to visit Vladimir Putin in the near future.

Scholz categorically rejected these rumours, calling them "extremely indecent". He emphasised that such statements mislead the public and have nothing to do with reality.

The publication Bild quotes the Chancellor, who stated that the very fact of discussing such a meeting had not even been raised. According to Scholz, such comments from the opposition undermine trust in political dialogue.
