According to the publication, Trump’s return to the White House has heightened fears among European countries that he may strike a deal with Russia, ignoring the interests of Ukraine and the European Union. Concerns are growing in Brussels that the EU will be left solely responsible for implementing such an agreement.

The main risk lies in the potential creation by the US of conditions that would be unacceptable to Ukraine, leading to demands for European funding for Ukraine’s reconstruction and the fulfilment of obligations regarding the guarantees of the agreement’s implementation.
