Beauty tourism is gaining momentum

In 2023, Turkey received approximately 1.5 million medical tourists, most of whom came for anti-ageing procedures or hair transplants.

The cost of hair transplantation in Turkey averages $2,500, which is significantly cheaper than in the UK, where prices can reach $12,000.

However, the affordable cost of such operations comes with risks. In recent years, 29 British citizens have died in Turkey as a result of complications following cheap procedures.

As for other plastic surgeries, many of them also result in complications. A striking example is Sofiya Studzhuk, who underwent breast augmentation and facial thread lifts in Turkey, which subsequently became inflamed.
