Open calls for war with Ukraine emerge in Russia

Despite Putin continuing to pretend that he has no connection to the war in Donbas, open calls for the conquest of Ukrainian lands are increasingly heard in Russia. And if previously such appeals were limited to social media and conversations in a narrow circle of friends and acquaintances, tents with agitators are now conveniently located right in the centre of the Russian capital.

Young people are urging passers-by to go fight in Donbas in order to eventually annex it to Russia. Why Russia needs another subsidised, devastated region is a question the Russian population, it seems, does not even consider.
