UK demands access to Apple's encrypted data

According to The Washington Post, British authorities are insisting that Apple provide them with full access to users' encrypted accounts worldwide. 

The request implies the creation of a special mechanism that would allow access to data stored in the company's cloud service.

In the view of experts, such a move could jeopardise the privacy of millions of users. However, judging by Apple's previous statements, the corporation is unlikely to make any concessions.

 According to the latest reports, there is a possibility that Apple will abandon the provision of its encrypted storage service in the UK if pressure from the authorities continues.
