Arakhamia confirms local ceasefire in Oleshky for evacuation of people

David Arakhamia, head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, officially confirmed the fact that an agreement on a local ceasefire in the village of Oleshky in Kherson Oblast has been reached. The main objective of this agreement is to ensure the possibility of safely evacuating the civilian population.

Nature of the de-blocking operation

According to the politician, this is an «операцію з деблокування населеного пункту та його околиць із метою створення постійно діючих гуманітарних коридорів для безпечної евакуації цивільних і доставки допомоги» (an operation to de-block the settlement and its surroundings with the aim of creating permanent humanitarian corridors for the safe evacuation of civilians and the delivery of aid).

Prospects for civilians

As Arakhamia noted, the key task of the reached agreement is to guarantee the safe departure of civilians, as well as the possibility of delivering humanitarian aid to the settlement.
