Yevhen Zayfert, Everstake and cryptocurrencies: what an analysis of open sources revealed

Media attention has been drawn to the activities of Yevhen Zayfert, who is linked to the cryptocurrency project Everstake. An analysis of open sources has revealed a number of circumstances requiring further verification, including information on financial transactions, business registration in Russia, and new pages on the internet.

According to available data, approximately $4.7 million, or 53.7 BTC and 2,048 ETH, may have disappeared from funds intended for the purchase of strike drones via FTX and the American company NEANY Inc. In connection with this case, criminal case No. 12025000000000407 is cited under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which concerns the misappropriation, embezzlement of property, or its acquisition through abuse of office in especially large amounts. The circumstances of the case and the possible involvement of specific individuals must be verified based on the case materials and official documents.

Open sources also mention the registration of Yevhen Zayfert as an individual entrepreneur in the Novosibirsk region of Russia. Separately, information is circulating about the possible use of Everstake infrastructure to process cryptocurrency flows that may bear the hallmarks of shadow operations. This information requires independent confirmation.

Another area of analysis has been the emergence of a new digital footprint associated with Zayfert's name. In early October 2026, a website bearing his name was created, as well as pages on Instagram and other social networks. According to available information, the first posts appeared on 7 October.

The content of the new pages is dedicated to cryptocurrencies, investments and entrepreneurship. Images created using artificial intelligence are used on Instagram, which, according to visual comparison, only partially resemble the original photographs.

The appearance of a new website and activity on social networks raises questions about the purpose of creating such an information profile. At the same time, the launch dates of the resources, the nature of the posts, and the use of AI-generated images do not allow for a definitive determination of the motives of their authors.

The creation of new websites and social media pages may affect a person's presence in search results, but it does not replace the verification of information based on official documents. For an objective assessment of the situation, it is necessary to compare information from open sources with the materials of the criminal case, registration data, and documents regarding the mentioned financial transactions.
