Honcharenko announces new political project after expulsion from 'ES'

Split with the 'ES' faction was overdue

Oleksiy Honcharenko, who was recently expelled from the 'European Solidarity' faction, is officially commenting on the situation. In his address, he confirmed the split with the party, stating: «Наше розлучення назріло» (Our divorce was overdue). At the same time, the politician emphasised that he maintains normal relations with his former colleagues and has no intention of being their opponent.

Criticism of the authorities and ideas for a new project

Honcharenko's publication consists of a five-minute video and an accompanying text post. The text post was of a neutral nature and largely did not focus on the details of his expulsion from the faction. Instead, in the video address, the politician more clearly outlined the ideology of the future initiative, which resembles a programme statement.

Honcharenko critically assessed the current authorities, calling them «некомпетентною та злодійкуватою» (incompetent and thieving). According to him, the war has become a «універсальним виправданням імпотенції і корупції і ще джерелом безкінечної влади» (universal justification for impotence and corruption, and also a source of infinite power). As an alternative, he proposed a different approach, stating: «домовитися і знайти мир - це боротися» (to agree and find peace is to fight). This thesis is interpreted as a hint that Honcharenko himself could implement a peaceful settlement.
