Google simplifies removal of personal data from search

Automatic tracking of confidential information
The company Google has updated the "Results about you" tool, making the process of removing personal data more convenient. 

Users can now automatically track whether their confidential information, including phone number, email address or home address, has appeared in search results, and request its removal directly from the results page.

How it works?

1. Registration in the service and specifying the data to be tracked.
2. Notification from Google if the information appears in search results.
3. Removal of unwanted results, with the option to select a reason (personal data, legal grounds, or updating outdated information).

Availability and expansion plans
Currently, the feature is available in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada, South Africa, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, France, Sweden, Thailand, India and Indonesia. Google plans to expand its geographical availability in the future.

Privacy under control
The company assures that the collected data is not disclosed and is not used to personalise services across other Google platforms.
