Yemeni Houthis have officially called on representatives of civilian aviation to refrain from flying over the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The rebels stated that the airspace of this state is currently dangerous for commercial flights. The only exceptions where the restrictions do not apply are the areas of Mecca and Medina.

Riyadh's large-scale air operation

Against this backdrop, the Saudi armed forces sharply intensified their military campaign against Houthi positions in Yemen. According to information from Associated Press, cited by Saudi coalition spokesperson Turki al-Maliki, 100 fighter jets were deployed to combat operations in the morning.

Official Riyadh reported that 324 enemy targets were destroyed during this operation.

Strikes on oil infrastructure

Meanwhile, the Houthis reported carrying out attacks using ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. The targets were Saudi Aramco facilities located in the country's capital, Riyadh, and in the Khurais area. At present, Saudi authorities have not officially confirmed the fact of hits on these facilities.

However, sources in the Saudi oil industry, cited by AFP, claim that a pumping station in Khurais sustained serious damage as a result of the strike. This led to the repeated suspension of oil pumping through the East-West pipeline.
