Systematic strikes on digital assets

Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi stated that Russian aggression is directed not only at the energy system but also at the country's digital infrastructure. According to him, around ten data centres in Kyiv were damaged as a result of enemy attacks during September alone.

(Russia is striking our digital infrastructure just as systematically as it is striking the energy sector), the head of government emphasised.

Strengthening cyber defence

In response to the growing threat from Russian hackers, the government is taking measures to strengthen the protection of state electronic services. Serhiy Koretskyi noted that the enemy has intensified cyberattacks and is increasingly using artificial intelligence tools.

(One of the main targets is state information systems and Ukrainian business. Key digital agencies already know how to repel attacks using AI. I expect the same readiness from every state institution and body), the Prime Minister stated.

Instructions to leadership

To counter the threats, the head of the government issued clear instructions. (I have given a direct instruction to the heads of all executive authorities to urgently form cybersecurity teams, purchase software, and put it into operation), Serhiy Koretskyi's message reads.
