Investigation highlights discrepancy between the cost of an 81.7 sq m apartment in the Semitsvit residential complex and the declared assets of Yurii Ivaskiv and his close relatives.

In June 2021, pensioner Lidiia Ponomarenko, the mother of Volodymyr Ponomarenko, deputy head of the Department of Customs Audit and Accounting of Persons at the State Customs Service, acquired an 85-square-metre apartment in the "Holosiievo" residential complex in Kyiv. According to the submitted documents, the valuation of this property was 3.14 million hryvnia.
However, according to MEZHI's calculations, the estimated market value of such an apartment is approximately 5 million hryvnia. Thus, the declared amount differs from the market value by almost 1.86 million hryvnia. It is worth noting that, as follows from the declarations, the actual user of this housing is the customs official himself.
In 2020, Volodymyr Ponomarenko declared the right to free use of a 2013 Mercedes-Benz E 250 CDI, which belonged to a third party. This vehicle disappeared from the official's declarations in 2021 and 2022. However, in 2023, it reappeared in the documents, only this time the owner of the car became his mother.
The value of the Mercedes-Benz stated in the declaration was only 49,000 hryvnia. Meanwhile, the estimated market price of a similar model is approximately 630,000 hryvnia.
In April and May 2026, Lidiia Ponomarenko purchased two adjacent land plots in Uzhhorod. The total estimated market value of these objects exceeds 3.1 million hryvnia.
The change in the pensioner's financial profile is noteworthy. In March 2019, she registered as a sole proprietor (FOP) with an activity code providing for wholesale trade in electronic and telecommunications equipment. Prior to this moment, according to her son's declarations, her income was formed primarily from pension payments. After the start of business activity, her financial indicators and cash savings increased significantly.
Starting from 2020, the official's mother no longer appears as a family member in Volodymyr Ponomarenko's declarations. This means that her subsequent income and acquired assets are not reflected in the official's reporting. Presumably, such a scheme creates a risk of the official's assets being registered in his mother's name to conceal his true financial status.
