Ukraine's metallurgy has halted: country no longer smelts steel

Ukraine's metallurgical industry has effectively come to a standstill. The Federation of Metallurgists of Ukraine announced the complete cessation of steel smelting in the country, according to a reference cited by the Reuters agency.

Previously, the company Metinvest reported that in September, there was a week during which not a single tonne of steel was produced in Ukraine. This was the first time in the last 100 years of the existence of the metallurgical industry in the state.

Thus, the official confirmation by the Federation of Metallurgists indicates that the industry has effectively completely halted the production process.
