New candidate for Eurovision from Russia identified

As the candidate for Eurovision 2017, Yulia Samoylova, will simply not be allowed into Ukraine, while the country's slot in the contest is retained, the Russian side was offered the option to select a different participant who would not violate the country's laws and could genuinely take part in the contest.

The controversial actor Nikita Mikhalkov immediately decided to seize this opportunity. From his Instagram page, he expressed his desire to represent Russia in the contest. However, the actor forgot that he actually holds a Ukrainian passport. Furthermore, following his visit to the DNR and the acquisition of a passport from the unrecognised republic, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are seeking him.

Another candidate is Olga Buzova, a star of "House 2", who is only taking her first steps on stage and simply cannot sing without a backing track.
