Despite Transcarpathia Governor Hennadii Moskal's assurances that he would remain in this position for the long term, it was revealed today that he has submitted his resignation. The relevant statement has already been sent to President Petro Poroshenko.

It is presumed that Moskal's move is linked to an offer to head the police force, either the capital's or the national one.

Hennadii Moskal himself has not yet commented on this information, and his press office remains silent.

There is currently no information on candidates for the position of the new head of the Transcarpathia Regional State Administration.
