French club considers sale of Ukrainian defender

Paris Saint-Germain no longer counts on the services of Ukraine national team defender Illia Zbarnyi and may put him on the transfer list as early as the winter transfer window. According to French publication Foot Parisien, the club's management is disappointed with the player's current form.

English clubs show interest

According to the publication's data, the Parisians are ready to consider offers for Zbarnyi as early as winter. The Ukrainian defender, who previously played successfully for Bournemouth, continues to attract the attention of English Premier League teams.

Among the clubs interested in the player are Liverpool, managed by former Bournemouth coach Andoni Iraola, London's Tottenham and Manchester United.

Financial aspects and player statistics

PSG will likely try to recoup a significant portion of the funds spent on the Ukrainian's transfer. In the summer of 2025, the club paid Bournemouth 67 million euros for Zbarnyi.

Zbarnyi moved to the French team in 2025. Since then, he has played 39 matches in all competitions and scored one goal.

Last season, the Ukrainian was second in the PSG squad in terms of playing time in the French championship. However, in the current season, he is used significantly less often — he has only appeared on the field twice in Ligue 1 and Champions League matches.
