Four people injured in enemy shelling

According to regional police data, four people were injured as a result of Russian attacks in the Sumy region over the past 24 hours. Among the victims is a minor — an 11-year-old boy.

The enemy targeted civilian vehicles, residential buildings, and infrastructure facilities. In particular, residents of the Yampil community were affected.

Attack on a car in the Yampil community

In this area, an enemy drone hit a passenger car, resulting in injuries to three people: an 11-year-old boy, a 39-year-old man, and a 32-year-old woman. The vehicle was also damaged.

Other consequences of the strikes

Another person — a 55-year-old man — sought medical attention. He sustained injuries on 17 October as a result of a drone strike in the Sumy community.

Damage has been recorded in other communities in the region:

  • a non-residential building;
  • a utility structure;
  • passenger and cargo vehicles;
  • window glazing in a dormitory;
  • power lines;
  • a multi-apartment building;
  • an administrative building.

Investigative work

Police investigative and operational teams are working at the sites of enemy strikes. Law enforcement officers are documenting the aftermath of the attacks and gathering evidence of war crimes committed by Russian forces.
