The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to extend the mechanism of fixed electricity prices. This measure provides for the retention of current rates until 30 April 2027. Consequently, from 1 November 2026, the tariff for the majority of household consumers will remain unchanged at 4.32 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour.
Certain categories of citizens are entitled to a reduced rate. The preferential tariff of 2.64 UAH per kilowatt-hour applies to households that have properly installed electric heating systems, as well as to housing that meets the criteria established by the government.
The validity of the preferential price is limited to the period from 1 October to 30 April. An important condition is adherence to the consumption limit: the monthly volume of electricity usage must not exceed 2,000 kilowatt-hours. If this threshold is exceeded, the entire volume of consumed energy is charged at the standard rate of 4.32 UAH per kilowatt-hour.
Citizens can take advantage of a two-zone meter. With such a device, the cost of electricity is reduced to 2.16 UAH per kilowatt-hour during the night period, from 23:00 to 07:00, which is half the standard daytime rate.
Meanwhile, the final amounts in bills will directly depend on the actual level of consumption. During the heating season, costs may increase due to the intensive use of electric heaters, water heaters, and other energy-intensive appliances.
