Disappearance of three teenagers

A tragic incident unfolded in the village of Humentsi in Kamianets-Podilskyi district of Khmelnytskyi region, ending in the deaths of three minors. Preliminary data suggests the fatal traffic accident may have occurred on 30 October. The approximate time of the accident was around 03:40.

The father of a 13-year-old girl reported her disappearance to the police around 11:00. The man stated that his daughter had gone to a friend's birthday party the previous evening but did not return home. It soon emerged that two other boys, aged 15 and 16, who were also present at the celebration, had disappeared along with her.

Search and discovery of the vehicle

Upon receiving the reports, law enforcement officers immediately launched a search operation. Police inspected the territory of the community and distributed alerts to all police units.

During the initial investigation, it was established that shortly before their disappearance, the children had been travelling in a VAZ 21099 car. The vehicle was found in a river in a neighbouring settlement at approximately 16:00.

Investigation of circumstances

The bodies of all three missing children were found inside the car. Investigators are currently determining the reasons why the car ended up in the water and clarifying all details of the tragedy. The investigation is ongoing.
