The name of another participant in protest activities detained against the backdrop of events in Teremky Park has been established in Kyiv. This concerns Yehor Danyluk, who is a member of the public organisation "White Sector".
Information about this incident was published by activist Dmytro Perov. According to him, the morning visit by law enforcement officers to Danyluk was carried out not by standard units of the National Police or the Patrol Police. Instead, as Perov claims, the actions were carried out by fighters of the Rapid Response Corps (KORD) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Dmytro Perov emphasised the specificity of the resources used, noting that separate structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs acted against different activists. The level of forces deployed varied from district police departments and the main police administration of Kyiv to the Special Purpose Regiment (formerly "Berkut") and KORD.
«Цікаво тут інше — проти різних активістів діяли окремі структурні підрозділи МВС. Від районного відділу і поліцейського главку Києва до полку особливого призначення (колишній "Беркут") та КОРДу» (What is interesting here is that separate structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs acted against different activists. From a district department and the Kyiv police headquarters to the Special Purpose Regiment (formerly "Berkut") and KORD), Perov stated.
The activist believes that the involvement of such diverse security structures may indicate the systematic nature of the persecution of protest participants.
«Тобто переслідування активістів мають ознаки системності не лише ззовні, а й зсередини. Тож прямий наказ на такі дії, на мою думку, могла надати лише людина найвищої ієрархічної ланки. А саме той, хто керує керівниками цих підрозділів» (In other words, the persecution of activists has signs of systematization not only from the outside but also from the inside. Therefore, a direct order for such actions, in my opinion, could only be given by a person of the highest hierarchical rank. Namely, the one who manages the heads of these units), he added.
Protest activity in Teremky Park is caused by work on laying a backup heating network and the felling of trees. Local residents and activists are against the conduct of construction work in a green zone. Police representatives report that their presence is aimed at ensuring public order near the site of engineering works.
Previously, law enforcement officers informed about the detention of another protest participant — 24-year-old Lyubomyr Dmytryshyn. He was detained after a search of his residence, and the court subsequently chose a preventive measure in the form of night house arrest for him.
