Stabilisation in most regions
The press service of "Ukrenergo" reports that thanks to the round-the-clock work of energy sector specialists, it has been possible to partially stabilise the state of the energy system following large-scale Russian strikes that took place over the past 24 hours. In most oblasts, including the capital, the implementation of emergency blackouts has been halted. This has allowed a return to standard hourly blackout schedules.
Most difficult situation in Kyiv and the oblast
At the same time, the company emphasises that the overall situation in the energy system remains tense. The most difficult conditions for consumers persist in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast. All involved services are operating in a coordinated mode to maximise the speed of eliminating the consequences of the attacks and normalising power supply.
As of the morning of 4 November, emergency power blackouts continue to be in effect only in Kharkiv Oblast.
Consequences of prolonged attacks on infrastructure
Representatives of "Ukrenergo" stressed that throughout the previous day and this night, the enemy has not ceased attacking energy infrastructure. Due to damage inflicted both during the latest shelling and previously, as of this morning, consumers in the following regions remain without electricity:
- Vinnytsia Oblast;
- Zhytomyr Oblast;
- Zaporizhzhia Oblast;
- Kirovohrad Oblast;
- Kharkiv Oblast;
- Kherson Oblast.
Energy workers' efforts and active schedules
Energy workers operated throughout the night and continue to carry out emergency repair work in all locations where the security situation permits. The main goal is to restore damaged equipment as quickly as possible and improve power supply indicators.
Due to the consequences of Russian attacks, hourly blackout schedules of up to four stages are being enforced in some regions today. Power limitation schedules are applied to the industrial sector.
