James David Vance intends to review weapons procurement

In an interview with CBS, US Vice President James David Vance shared his views on the current situation in the country.

According to him, Pete Hegseth is a destroyer of the existing order, which causes dissatisfaction among many. Vance emphasised that over the past 40 years, the US has been involved in numerous wars, but none of them have been won during his lifetime.

In Vance’s view, Hegseth’s main task will be to address existing problems within the Department of Defence, among which he highlighted the need to increase the number of recruits and eliminate serious deficiencies in the weapons procurement process.

Vance also noted that in light of the development of technologies such as artificial intelligence, unmanned aerial vehicles and drones, the country needs to radically change its approach to funding and purchasing weapons, as well as review methods of equipping the army.
