EU sets up return centres for Ukrainian refugees

In response to the growing need to support Ukrainian citizens abroad, Ukraine is discussing the establishment of specialised centres to assist refugees in the Czech Republic, Poland and Germany. 

These initiatives aim to streamline the process of returning Ukrainian citizens to their homeland and provide them with cultural and social services.

Alexey Chernyshov’s visit to the Czech Republic

On 28 January, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Chernyshov will arrive in the Czech Republic, where he will hold negotiations on the creation of centres to support Ukrainian refugees. According to representatives of the Czech Ministry of the Interior, these centres will play a key role in organising the return of Ukrainian citizens, as well as providing cultural and social support.

Assistance to Ukrainians abroad

Representatives of the Ukrainian government are actively working on an initiative designed to facilitate the return of refugees and serve as a platform for their adaptation in Ukraine. The project is already being discussed with Polish and German authorities, and centres may appear in other countries, including Germany, in the near future.
