The once very popular performer Alexander Barikin died almost five years ago. Since then, his elderly mother, Alexandra Georgievna, who has serious health problems, has been struggling to make ends meet. The woman lives on a meagre pension and is forced to deny herself the most basic necessities.

The well-known writer Lena Lenina decided to help the 85-year-old needy mother of the artist by visiting her and bringing with her medicines and fruit that she cannot afford to buy herself.
