Moseychuk hospitalised from court

The Court of Appeal held a hearing today in the case of Ukrainian MP Igor Moseychuk of the Radical Party, during which the preventive measure was to be reviewed.

Colleagues of the MP called an ambulance for Moseychuk before the hearing began, as his lawyers reported a deterioration in his condition. After a preliminary examination, medical staff decided to hospitalise Igor Moseychuk directly from the courtroom at one of Kyiv's clinics.

It is worth noting that the MP was detained after his parliamentary immunity was lifted, following which Moseychuk declared a hunger strike while in pre-trial detention.

The appeal hearing has been postponed to 13 October due to the hospitalisation; the court may take the MP's health condition into account and release him on bail.
