Fire continues at oil depot in Russia's Engels

In Engels, Russian authorities are once again unable to extinguish the fire that has been burning for four days at an oil depot hit by a Ukrainian drone attack. This is the second time in a month that a similar situation has occurred.

Local authorities report that the area of the fire has decreased, but efforts to extinguish the blaze are still ongoing at the scene.

The fire that broke out on 14 January is the second in the past week — previously, at the beginning of the month, a similar attack led to a prolonged fire that firefighters managed to contain only after six days. Two rescuers died while attempting to extinguish the flames.
