Orban calls for lifting sanctions on Russia

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban urged the European Union to review its policy towards Russia by lifting sanctions and restoring bilateral relations. 

In his speech, he noted that, in his view, Brussels will eventually "come to its senses", but is currently in a state he compared to a "binge".

Furthermore, Orban expressed concern over Ukraine's economic impact on Europe. According to him, the Ukrainian economy poses a serious threat, as the country is "unable to stay afloat" without massive financial support from the West.
