Ukrainians mass-switch telecom operators

In 2024, Ukrainians significantly increased their activity in changing mobile operators while retaining their old numbers. According to data from the NCCU, the number of such users increased 2.3-fold compared to 2023.

The largest number of subscribers switched from Kyivstar, leaving the company with 207,100 numbers. Meanwhile, the mobile operator lifecell received the most new numbers in 2024 — 269,760.

In most cases, the change of operators was due to problems at Kyivstar and the subsequent increase in service costs.
