Illegal cigarette production dismantled in Chernivtsi Oblast

A joint operation by the State Tax Service and the National Police’s Special Services Directorate was carried out in Chernivtsi Oblast to dismantle an illegal cigarette production facility.

 The operation targeted a large-scale facility capable of producing up to 50,000 packs per day, which manufactured counterfeit products under both Ukrainian and international brands.

During the searches, the following items were seized:

• approximately 70,000 packs of finished products
• 15,000 kg of tobacco ready for processing
• more than 1 million excise stamps.
