Russian aircraft intercepted again over the Baltic Sea

On 21 July, a Russian Il-20 military aircraft was intercepted over the Baltic Sea near the border with Latvia.

The country's National Armed Forces announced this on their Twitter page.

Several NATO aircraft were scrambled for the interception.

It is worth noting that this is far from the first such incident in the past year. NATO forces have repeatedly intercepted not only Russian aircraft, which deliberately provoke the Baltic states, but also Russian Federation ships that frequently approach the territorial waters of other countries.
