Janukovych's man Shkil in charge of protecting Ukraine's energy sector

Despite years of war, "regionalists" continue to thrive in Ukraine, earning millions or even billions in the country. For instance, former Party of Regions member and founder of the AVTOSTRADA road holding company, Maksym Shkil, is engaged in the construction of strategic facilities and their defence against Russian strikes

Recall that this individual previously actively assisted the fugitive President Viktor Yanukovych. However, unlike many of his other protégés, Shkil did not flee. Instead, he decided to continue building his fortune in Ukraine. Moreover, he has been quite successful.

One can only hope that law enforcement authorities are confident that information regarding strategic facilities is not being leaked anywhere. And that Shkil has no ties to Russia or Yanukovych.
