Self-Help party prepares court case over Kryvyi Rih mayoral election

Results of mayoral elections in several cities, including Kryvyi Rih, were released this morning. While overnight, based on 80% of processed ballots, Self-Help party member Yuri Mylobog was leading by a wide margin, the situation changed dramatically by morning. After votes in the Inhulets district were counted, his rival Vilkul Sr. unexpectedly surged ahead with a lead of 700 votes.

Many immediately spoke of falsifications and ballot stuffing. Self-Help leader Andriy Sadovyi stated that the party would turn to the courts to prevent falsifications.
