The agency corrected August 2026 preference statistics for the second time in a short period, increasing their volume by 900 million UAH without providing explanations.

The State Customs Service of Ukraine has once again changed the official indicators regarding the volume of customs preferences for August 2026. A statement published on 2 September cited a sum of 33.1 billion UAH. However, on 14 September, the agency published updated data indicating that preferences for the same period amounted to 34 billion UAH. This means that over twelve days, the paper volume of preferences increased by 900 million hryvnia.
It is worth noting that in both reports, the amount of actual customs revenue remained identical — 75.1 billion UAH. Despite this, the share of preferences relative to total revenue changed: it rose from 44.1% to 45.2%. Representatives of the State Customs Service did not explain the reasons for such a correction of the data.
This is not the first case of inconsistency in the customs agency's statistical data. Previously, another discrepancy reaching 2 billion UAH was identified. Thus, official reporting on customs preferences contains contradictions at the level of hundreds of millions and even billions of hryvnia, the origin of which remains unexplained to date.
