Crossing the Dnipro

Yesterday, a Russian sabotage group successfully crossed the Dnipro and landed on the right bank of Kherson. The location of the incident is the Korabel (Ostriv) area.

This was reported in the "Forpost 34" ("Форпост 34") Telegram channel, associated with the 34th Separate Marine Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to the source, personnel of the Russian Federation's 126th Coastal Defence Brigade used fog and difficult weather conditions for the crossing.

Discrepancies in combat details

Accounts of the clash's aftermath differ. Some sources claim that all landed groups were destroyed, and one Russian soldier was taken prisoner. Meanwhile, information about this battle is absent from the 34th Brigade's official social media pages.

Local Kherson resources report otherwise: some Russian troops managed to reach buildings on the right bank, while several succeeded in disappearing from the landing site.

Assessment of the situation's threat level

The very fact of Russian forces landing within the city limits is classified as a dangerous precedent. One public channel notes that this may indicate the beginning of a series of similar attempts. Even if the current group was indeed completely destroyed, its appearance in the city raises questions about the organisation of defence.

The evening and morning reports of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces state that Russian troops did not carry out offensive actions on the Pre-Dnipro direction. Information about the landing in Kherson is absent from the report.
