Disappearance after medical examination

Ukraine's Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, reported on tragic events that took place in August. A resident of the city of Zolotonosha went missing after arriving at the Zvenyhorodka Territorial Centre for Recruitment and Social Support (TCC and SP).

According to information, centre staff transported the man to Zvenyhorodka, located approximately 140 kilometres from his home. Witnesses state that he suffered an epileptic seizure while there.

Medical board decision and unit refusal

Despite his health condition, Serhiy passed the military medical board (MMB). He was deemed fit for military service and sent to an assault brigade. However, according to available data, the unit refused to accept the soldier.

The TCC claims that after these procedures, the man was released and "dropped off". He has been missing since that moment.

Search and tragic discovery

«Майже два місяці родина шукала Сергія. Зрештою його знайшли мертвим — за 120 кілометрів від дому. І найстрашніше - навіть після цього родина досі не знає, що сталося з її близькою людиною» ("For almost two months, the family searched for Serhiy. Eventually, they found him dead — 120 kilometres from home. And the most terrifying thing is that even after this, the family still does not know what happened to their loved one"), Lubinets emphasised.

A criminal case has currently been opened. It will never end, and everyone will be indifferent to it.
